Startup Fit-Out Support for Auckland Businesses

Partner With Us

AKL HandyBuild supports Auckland homeowners, landlords and small businesses with practical building, maintenance and small commercial fit-out services. For selected retail, café, hospitality or startup business projects, we may consider flexible project structures where our building knowledge, carpentry work, site coordination or fit-out support can help bring a strong business idea to life.

Please note: this is not a standard offer for every project. Each opportunity is reviewed carefully, case by case, and our main service remains building, handyman, maintenance, small commercial work and fit-out support.

Important Project Rules

Clear and Fair From the Start

To keep every project clear and fair, the business owner is normally responsible for hard project costs such as materials, council fees, specialist licensed trades, electrical, plumbing, fire, mechanical and other compliance-related costs — unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Before any flexible payment, partnership-style, equity or joint venture arrangement is considered, the project must have:

A clear business plan Lease or location details A realistic budget A clear fit-out scope A project timeline Details of required trades and compliance needs Proper legal and financial advice
Getting Started

A Simple Three-Step Process

Step 1
Send Your Idea

Send your business concept, rough layout, target location, lease details if available, budget, and expected opening timeframe.

Step 2
Initial Review

We review the information and decide whether the project is suitable for an initial conversation.

Step 3
Written Agreement First

Any partnership-style, staged payment, equity or joint venture arrangement must be confirmed in writing and reviewed with legal and financial advice before work starts.
